“I don’t know” is not an acceptable answer.
Any of the following are a better response. Most of them basically mean the same thing as “I don’t know” but at least show me that you have the bare minimum of interest in the question at hand:
I’ll think about it.
Let me check.
I’ll get back to you.
Why don’t you ask (insert name of colleague here)?
Have you tried (insert any idea or suggestion, no matter how silly it might sound)?

Let us suffer here with Jesus, and with patience bear our cross. Joy will follow all our sadness; where He is there is no loss. Though today we sow no laughter, we shall reap celestial joy: All discomforts that annoy shall give way to mirth hereafter. Jesus, here I share Your woe; help me there Your joy to know.

Do you ever have that feeling?
abecomingmotherhood:
Am I the only one who feels like they are never “on top of things”? Yes, housework, work, meals, errands, keeping my hair from being a mess… it goes on and on. I. can’t. keep. up.
I would elaborate, but I can’t even keep up with my thoughts today.
And to my new followers, I apologize. I am not always such a scattered mess. (Old followers, don’t tell them the real truth!)
